This web-based application and its design language were designed to strike a balance between power and simplicity. Features included medical records browsing with rich media formats such as radiology images, pdf documents, and clinical movies; prescription writing; and lightweight clinical documentation. Clinicians loved the simple, straightforward interface and the bright, airy feel of the application.

I created the application's design language for use in a suite of related web-based applications, including an emergency room tracking system and a rules authoring tool. The components of the design language can be skinned to create a different look and feel without altering the structure or content. The design language itself was documented in a lengthy HTML-based narrative with numerous behavior and spacing diagrams.
